Motivation Out of Nothing!⤴

from

Today’s TDC  says:

You may have seen the Tiktok trend where people turn everyday quotes into a motivational quote flyer. Now it’s your turn! Take a random quote from your day and create a motivational poster!

I’m on holiday today, so ignoring all of the emails and Teams messages, so I took a pic of Cagney, pretending to sleep on my bed, and turned that into a poster

Eigendrum⤴

from

Today’s TDC is a fun one!

Draw and shape or explore preset ones and watch/hear it turned into a drum sound. I think that’s what Eigendrum does, it’s as nerdy as one can get with the physics / math of drum shape / sounds.

Of course I drew a cat, and you  can hear what it sounds like by clicking on the cat image here.

Stranger things⤴

from

During the month of August I will be participating in Blaugust, a month long blogging challenge.

Today’s TDC asks:

Have you watched Stranger Things on Netflix? Even if you haven’t, imagine just how strange the world can get. Then write a story or create an image, or a soundtrack, or a video, of the Stranger Things you imagine. We won’t judge. Too much.

The worlds is strange in ways I don’t really want to imagine at the moment, so I jumped over to Lunapic to see what filters I could use. I chose the color glitch effect and added it to yesterday’s image of Cagney and the lemurs from Madagascar. She really pops out as the strangest of the things in that image!

Madagascar⤴

from

During the month of August I will be participating in Blaugust, a month long blogging challenge.

Today’s TDC asks us to:

Place the word Madagascar somewhere in the response in a way that makes no sense

As I web searched for Madagascar I noticed that images of lemurs featured heavily in the results, and that gave me an idea for a twist. I stole an image from this web page and edited it slightly. I am sure nobody will notice that I added a little cat to it.

Silly Solage⤴

from

During the month of August I will be participating in Blaugust, a month long blogging challenge.

Today’s TDC asks us to

Make a silly solage

A silly solage is a happy poem of three lines, two of them as long as you dare, the third is one word. The third word is surprising and silly.

As far as I can tell this is a form of poetry just made up by Kathryn Apel as I can’t find it elsewhere in an internet search. She describes them as a type of joke, but mine’s more of a definition than a joke:

I like to be in the way
At all times of the day

Three happy things⤴

from

For today’s TDC, 3 things that made me happy this week. Walking around my city and seeing this banner, drinking butterfly pea flower tea (which is deep blue and goes purple when lemon is added), and my lovely Lacey cat.

Gumption⤴

from

for Today’s TDC,

What does the word GUMPTION look like to you? Show us in a picture or poem.

I immediately thought of our little cat, Cagney, who is a huge tiger in her own mind’s eye. Here she is on the roof of our house.

Loudly shouting for food and treats
Always in the way during Zoom meetings
Creating havoc when the bathroom door is closed
Eyes looking daggers when I stroke the other cat
Yet cuddly and affectionate when she gets her own way
