HOMAGO⤴

from

Today’s TDC asks us to:

Tell, show, what a culture of belonging looks like

Since about 2016, when I was looking at CLMOOC for my PhD, I’ve had this sketch on my wall

HOMAGO

This takes the HOMAGO from Mimi Ito and maps it onto the 3Cs model from sociology of religion – Community, or who we are; Cultus, or what we do; Creed, or what we believe. I talk a bit more about it here.

DS106 and the TDC exemplify this for me – it’s about people working out in the open, practicing what they preach and welcoming others who share their values.

It’s not about charging people to join Zoom calls or gated communities.
