It’s that time of year again. With a very busy diary from April till August we are looking for casual waiting and kitchen staff to help with our outside catering operation. Lengths of shifts can be varied to suit you and you pick and choose what weekends you would like to work. Mainly Saturday afternoons with shifts extending into the late evening if desired. Excellent rate of pay well above the national living wage, paid into your bank account weekly, meals and drinks on duty, uniform provided. The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) is proud to announce it will be offering a new 10 week work experience programme that includes the SQA qualification ‘Certificate of Work Readiness’ developed by Skills Development Scotland. This course is for young people aged 17 – 20 that are not in education, employment, or training.
6 placements will be offered at Edinburgh Zoo (3 Animal Dept., 1 Education, 1 Visitor Services & 1 Works) and 2 at the Highland Wildlife Park (1 Animal Dept. and 1 with either Works or Visitor Services).
The programme will commence on the 5 May 2014 and run 4 days a week, Monday – Thursday from 9:00am – 3:30pm. Lunches will be provided on site and Lothian Bus passes can be issued for the placements at Edinburgh Zoo.
