We have opportunities for you to join as an Apprentice in Power Station Operations, Gas Service and Gas Installation, Mechanical and Electrical Contracting, and our Power Systems business.

Whichever Apprenticeship you choose, you’ll have the opportunity to achieve a Modern Apprentice qualification, City & Guilds Technical Certificate and NVQ (or SVQ in Scotland) level 2 and 3. You will learn new skills that will help you build a successful career in the industry.

Our preference is for candidates who are just starting out on an apprenticeship although there may be times when we choose someone who is part way through their qualifications to meet business needs.

Most of our Apprenticeships take four years to complete. The majority of apprentices attend college on a block release arrangement which helps you progress more quickly and gives you valuable support. You may have to live away from home for short periods but you’ll quickly find your feet and make some great friends.

In order to be considered for an Apprenticeship you must have a minimum of four GCSEs or Standard Grades, (at C/3 or above), including Maths, English and a Science or Craft subject.
