Scottish Widows are currently recruiting for a number of permanent part-time and full-time Customer Service Advisers within their telephony department.
Working as part of a team, first and foremost you’ll be helping our customers by answering a range of telephone enquiries. You’ll be providing information on their Life, Pensions and Investment products and services, acting promptly on customers’ instructions and ensuring that records are fully up to date and accurate. These are purely customer service roles – no sales involved.
They’ll provide great training and help you develop an in-depth knowledge of their products and processes. Alongside your proven communication and customer service skills this will help to ensure you deliver the high standards of service customers expect.
Because the training is so comprehensive, you don’t need a background in finance or banking. You do however need experience of helping customers and answering queries. Scottish Widows put the customer at the heart of everything they do and you will be trained to resolve calls by taking ownership and providing first touch resolution whenever possible.
When competent in the role the Salary is from £17910 to £20,895 along with excellent benefits*, prior to becoming competent you will be paid a competitive starting salary dependent on your experience.

They are offering a full range of full-time and part-time hours.
For part-time they are particularly interested in the following shift patterns:
• 9 am – 1pm
• 2 pm – 6 pm
For part-time workers you need to be able to work full-time for the first 3-4 weeks of the training period before moving onto your agreed part-time hours.
They are also looking for evening workers across 5pm – 8pm shifts – Monday to Thursday plus a Saturday morning. These evening shifts will accommodate evening training.
The full-time shifts on offer cover flexible shifts across Monday to Friday 8am – 8pm and a Saturday morning 9am – 1pm. The Saturday morning shifts are covered on a rota basis with time given back in the week before, giving a standard working week of 35hrs.
Successful full-time applicants must be able to attend a 6-week training course Monday to Friday, 9.00 – 5.00.
The training courses will take place in the Dalkeith Road offices in Edinburgh.

*Flexible Benefits
