This position is only open to young people aged between 16 and 19 years of age who reside in East Lothian.

East Lothian Council is using The Youth Employment Scotland Fund to create Modern Apprentice opportunities to support young people into employment who are aged between 16 and 19 years and reside in East Lothian.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Modern Apprenticeship to work across the HR and Payroll teams based at John Muir House, East Lothian Council’s headquarters in Haddington.

The Modern Apprenticeship will provide an opportunity to gain an insight into the work of East Lothian Council and to gain experience and skills in an office environment while working to achieve the SVQ Level 3 in Business & Administration. The duration of the apprenticeship will be for a fixed term 18 month period.
