Chinese New Year 2017⤴

small-chinese-new-year-2017This year St Ninian’s High school will hold East Dunbartonshire’s Confucius classrooms Chinese New Year 2017 showcase on Friday 27th January at 1.10pm.

Four primary and secondary schools in East Dunbartonshire will take part in the showcase, including: St Ninian’s High School, Douglas Academy, St Flannan’s Primary school, Holy Family, St Agatha’s Primary school and St Machan’s Primary school.

The programme includes traditional Chinese dance, Chinese school exercise, Chinese Kungfu fan dance, dragon dance, traditional and modern Chinese songs, traditional Chinese music, Chinese rap and some other performances.

Small - Chinese New Year 2016Celebrate Chinese New Year 2016 with Glow TV on Friday 19th February at 1.15pm. This year we will celebrating the year of the monkey!

This year St Ninian’s High school will hold East Dunbartonshire’s Confucius classrooms Chinese New year showcase live in Glow TV. 6 primary and secondary schools in East Dunbartonshire will take part in the showcase, including: St Ninian’s High School, Douglas Academy, St Flannan’s Primary school, Holy Family, St Agatha’s Primary school and Meadowburn Primary school. The programme includes traditional Chinese dance, Kungfu dance, dragon and lion dance, traditional and modern Chinese songs, traditional Chinese music, Chinese drama and some other performances.

The show demonstrates pupils’ passion and talent for learning the Chinese language and culture and will be full of fun and energy!
