Veolia Water – Apprentice Electrical Maintenance Engineer

As an apprentice you will be working in a plant operating environment on wastewater treatment works & pumping stations. You must be prepared to work within an un-clean environment. The role will involve the day to day planned maintenance and reactive maintenance to all above ground assets both mechanically and electrically to ensure a robust and efficient maintenance regime. It will also include, fault finding and first call correction as well as the occasional requirement to operate some of the plant. Once fully qualified, you will be expected to participate in out of hour’s stand-by duty.
You will be required to successfully complete an engineering course as part of your apprenticeship. This is a great development opportunity for a candidate to develop their skills and become a fully qualified Multi skilled maintenance engineer with on the job experience as well as ‘learning in the classroom’. Veolia Water PFI’s projects in Scotland operate contracts that treat wastewater across the country on 11 Wastewater treatment sites and numerous pumping stations.
Once competent you will be expected to work across different sites as both an individual and as part of a larger maintenance team.
