Job Role/Title: Apprenticeship Scheme
Employer: Royal Bank of Scotland
Requirements: RBS are offering two different types of apprenticeship. So depending on your standard of education, you could study towards a Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship or a Level 3 :
Level 2 – 12 months (no educational requirements)
If you want to pursue a career in banking or one of our professional service areas and would like to learn at a steady pace with plenty of supervision, then our year-long Level 2 apprenticeship might be for you. Building up your knowledge and confidence over time, this role will see you assist in tasks rather than taking the lead. It’s more about spotting problems than solving them, and you’ll have all the support you need from your manager as you apply the skills you learn in a work environment. This apprenticeship paves the way for the more complex tasks expected on a Level 3 apprenticeship.
The role you take on will determine the qualification you earn. So you could study towards:
Level 2 Certificate in Personal Finance – IFS
Level 2/NVQ Certificate in Business and Administration
Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Business and Administration
Level 3 – 18 months (minimum grade C in Maths and English at GCSE level). It’s a more difficult programme than level 2.
