We are currently seeking applications for a Media Preparation Officer within Science and Advice for Scottish Agriculture (SASA) based at Roddinglaw Road, Edinburgh.
The successful candidate will provide a Media Preparation Service for SASA in accordance with Quality Assurance Procedures and specified standards and methods. You will be responsible for maintenance of stocks of consumables and chemicals. You will be involved in record keeping and report writing, organisation and supervision of repairs and calibration of laboratory equipment and organisation of the laundry service.

Qualifications & Experience Required
You must hold 5 Standard grades or GCSE (or equivalent) including English and a subject which clearly demonstrates numeracy. Passes must be at grades 1-3 or A-C. You must have a methodical approach to work and good organisational skills. You must also have knowledge of microbiology and experience of good laboratory practice, including aseptic techniques and application of these skills in producing consistent, reliable outcomes.
