I don’t give things up for Lent. Perhaps it is some baggage that I have carried with me about the danger of following rules without understanding the meaning behind them. Perhaps I have seen too many people follow something blindly without thinking. Whatever the reason I have never quite understood this particular tradition. That does not mean that I don’t respect those who do.
If you have given up chocolate for the next forty days then I am sorry for posting this photo as a possible stumbling block. I actually hadn’t thought about it before I took the photo.
There was no great conspiracy. It was a just a busy day with a couple of long meetings making it impossible to take a photo for my challenge. After dinner I was looking around to see what I could do and noticed the chocolate in the fridge. Hence the picture.
It was taken with a Lensbaby Composer with double glass swap optic and x4 macro adaptor on my Nikon D300S. The Lensbaby is a wonderful creative lens system that allows the photographer to do all sorts of interesting and weird things. I am a bit of a fan.
So, no conspiracy, just a photo a day for 2014.
