Today included leading a seminar on employment law followed by driving to Lendrick Muir for a meeting to consider strategy for working with young people. There was quite a contrast between the two activities yet they both have something really important in common. Both are about relationships. In all human endeavour relationships can make or break what we try to achieve. I read something earlier which remind us that systems and process do not result in either success or failure. It is people that make the difference.
So at the end of the day I have finished the long drive, the car has been parked up and I have taken a little while to reflect on all that has been said and done. The important lesson: people matter.
