Before leaving work tonight I popped out of the office to take a few photos of the gathering crowds and cars ready for the start of the Monte Carlo Classic car rally. A whole bunch of old cars left from the centre of Paisley to travel the 1700 miles to Monaco. They should get there by Tuesday.
The last time we were in Monte Carlo we took a week and a half to get there. Of course, we were in a very large ship going round the Med rather than driving over land in an old car.
As I wandered round the starting point I was somewhat perplexed by the fact that the cars all looked like ones that I remember driving round the streets as I was growing up.
