Apprenticeship Open Day at the Scottish Parliament
I would like to bring your attention to an exciting new initiative in the Scottish Parliament. Today we launch our Apprenticeship Programme which will bring in 20 apprentices over the next 4 years with 11 apprentices in 2015 and the remaining 9 in 2016. The programme is a Scotland wide initiative and is open to anyone aged between 16-24 years old.
Apprenticeships are being offered across a variety of roles in the Parliament including Business Admin, Customer Services, Human Resources, Facilities Management and IT.
Applications open on Friday 21st November and close at midnight on Sunday 7th December.
As we are keen to target as wide an audience as possible, we are holding an Open Day at the Scottish Parliament building on Friday 21st November 2014 where young people will have the opportunity to meet with the staff, find out more about the apprenticeships and ask any questions about the recruitment process. This is a unique opportunity and we want to ensure that every young person in Scotland has the chance to apply and build a career in the Parliament.
We would be grateful if could promote this event to the local groups you work with, particularly young people. We would also be happy for you to bring an organised group along to the event. Just let us know in advance.
Here is a direct link to our webpage which has everything you need to know about the apprenticeship programme. You can also follow us on Twitter or Facebook and a poster is attached that you can display. If you require a hard copy we can post some out to you if you prefer.
